Tait M. Copeland

Tait joined Maurice Law as an articling student in 2023. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in June 2023. During law school, Tait volunteered with the Civil / Family and Criminal Student Legal Services of Edmonton. He was also a member of the University of Alberta Faculty of Law Whiskey Club, where he served as an executive and representative. Prior to law school, Tait completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at Acadia University focusing on Medieval Studies and American Socio-Political Movements of the 1950s-70s. Born and raised in Calgary, Tait’s métis heritage extends through his Grandparents from North Saskatchewan and Québec. Tait’s family’s métis identity was not openly acknowledged until the late 1990s. He welcomes all opportunities to connect with his métis heritage and culture. In his spare time, Tait enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going to the gym, golfing, and fishing as often as he can.
