Crystal joined Maurice Law in 2015, following many years of experience practicing law in both the public and private sectors. Crystal’s key areas of practice include corporate/commercial with an emphasis on aboriginal business & economic development, First Nation governance, legislative development, and renewable energy. Crystal has significant experience in corporate governance, energy law, reorganizations, development of corporate structures, investment reviews and sales/purchase transactions. Since 2014, Crystal has been involved in the area of renewable energy including advising on large joint ventures for solar, wind and hydro in various provinces including Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Some current work includes representing a First Nation entity in negotiations of large hydroelectric project and utility scale wind project valued at about $210 million dollars.
Crystal is steadfast in her commitment to advancing the rights and interests of Indigenous communities, and in facilitating and ensuring their continued economic development and growth. Maurice Law is delighted to announce Crystal taking on her new role as Partner at the firm!
