Carly Fox is a member of the Blood Tribe located in southern Alberta.  She joined Maurice Law as a summer student in 2006 and articled with the firm in 2007. Carly was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in April 2008.

 

Carly graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in December 2006. Prior to law school she studied at the University of Calgary in the Law and Society program.  In law school Carly had the opportunity to participate in the 2006 Kawaskimhon Moot in Toronto, Ontario and received the Harvey Bell Memorial Prize in 2007 for academic achievement in law school.

 

Carly has been gaining a wide variety of experience at Maurice Law relating to legal issues affecting aboriginal peoples, including governance issues, administrative law, employment law, treaty and aboriginal rights, and land claims.
