Dale’s practice has proven to be wide and diversified.  Having practiced in some of the largest firms in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Dale obtained substantial experience in corporate law matters.  Dale also has extensive litigation experience having conducted over 160 trials in Provincial and Queen’s Bench Court, as well as numerous appearances before both Alberta and Saskatchewan’s Court of Appeal.

 

At Maurice Law, Dale’s current practice is to provide legal representation in both corporate and litigation matters to the firm’s First Nation and aboriginal clientele.  Dale’s practice is predominantly corporate commercial, and includes the areas of land claims negotiation and litigation, governance issues, taxation, trusts, joint business ventures and in general corporate counsel issues.  Dale also represents First Nation’s in development on reserve including negotiating joint venture agreements with developers, and working with the client First Nation from the beginning of projects to the closing of projects.  Dale has represented First Nations in their interests regarding water and has recently negotiated a co management agreement between a First Nation and Province regarding the management and sharing of a water resource.

 

Recently Dale obtained his Masters in Law from Osgoode Hall.

 

Dale has been active in community events and volunteer work and has continued his work in Calgary, volunteering his time for fund-raising and for community events.
